
President
Responsibilities of the President are as follows:
● Shall report to faculty sponsors,
● Has authority to call special meetings,
● Act as liaison between other campus and department organizations, the Dean and
faculty of the College of Business, and other campus faculty/staff/administrators as
needed,
● Attend any required TWU student organization meetings/training, or appoint a VP or
another AMA member as Team Representative,
● Coordinate needed assistance to Executive Board Members,
● Receive and share information from the AMA Support Center,
● Other duties in the best interest of AMA.
Vice President
Responsibilities of the President-Elect are
as follows:
● Perform the duties of the president in the president’s absence,
● In the event of a vacancy of the presidency, the president-elect shall succeed to the
presidency and complete the remainder of the term,
● Help support the president and other officers in their duties.
VP of Finance
The Vice President of Finance has the following
responsibilities:
● Report to the Team President,
● Coordinate fundraising activities,
● Apply for purchase cards from the Student Leadership Development Fund (SLDF)
and Student Organization Development Fund (SLDF) as needed,
● Coordinate and monitor budget with faculty sponsors,
● Maintain financial records for the organization.
VP of Communications
The Vice President of Communications has
the following responsibilities:
● Report to the Team President,
● Take minutes at all Executive Board Meetings and General Meetings and provide
written copies to President and faculty sponsors,
● Make room reservations for AMA meetings and special events,
● Handle all correspondence, thank-you notes and managing and dispersing mail,
● Maintain non-financial records of the organization, including accounts and passwords.
VP of Advertising and Promotion
The Vice President of
Advertising and Promotion has the following responsibilities:
● Report to the Team President,
● Promote the events and affairs of the AMA chapter to the school, local AMA
professional chapter, and local community,
● Maintain on-going relationship with TWU Lasso, TWU Marketing &
Communications, TWU College of Business, and relevant local media,
VP of Membership
The Vice President of Membership has the following responsibilities:
● Report to the Team President,
● Coordinate recruitment of new members, with instructions for how to join AMA and
use Pioneer Engage,
● Coordinate school sponsored recruiting activities (e.g., student organization fairs),
● Prepare new member packet with assistance of the Board,
● Prepare and maintain accuracy of membership list for current year, with help from
faculty sponsors,
● Remind members to renew their AMA membership before expiration.
VP of Social Media
The Vice President of Social Media has the
following responsibilities:
● Report to the Team President,
● Coordinate maintenance of the AMA team website, social media pages, and other
technology opportunities that arise,
● Ensure consistent posting of content and information to engage members and non-
members through social media,
● Provide the president, president-elect, and faculty advisors with all account
information, including login and passwords.
VP of Programming
The Vice President of Programs has the following
responsibilities:
● Report to the Team President
● Develop, recommend, and implement programs for the AMA chapter,
● Inform the chapter of AMA competitions and other opportunities.
